CompactLogix System
The CompactLogix platform brings together the benefits of the Logix platform—common programming environment, common networks, common control engine—in a small footprint with high performance. Combined with Compact I/O modules, the CompactLogix platform is perfect for tackling smaller, machine-level control applications, with or without simple motion, with unprecedented power and scalability. A CompactLogix platform is ideal for systems that require standalone and system-connected control over EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, or DeviceNet networks.

ControlLogix
The ControlLogix controller provides a scalable controller solution that is capable of addressing a large amount of I/O points.
The controller can be placed into any slot of a ControlLogix I/O chassis and multiple controllers can be installed in the same chassis. Multiple controllers in the same chassis communicate with each other over the backplane (just as controllers can communicate over networks) but operate independently.
ControlLogix controllers can monitor and control I/O across the ControlLogix backplane, as well as over I/O links. ControlLogix controllers can communicate over EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, DH+, Universal Remote I/O, and RS-232-C (DF1/DH-485 protocol) networks and many third party process and device networks. To provide communication for a ControlLogix controller, install the appropriate communication interface module into the chassis.
Available controllers include: ControlLogix controllers, GuardLogix safety controllers, and ControlLogix -XT extreme environment controllers

FlexLogix Controllers
A FlexLogix system provides a multi-purpose programmable controller. You can distribute I/O to locations close to sensors/actuators. Connect multiple FlexLogix controllers in networks for distributed processing.
Rockwell Automation no longer offers FlexLogix controllers for general sale; however, they plan to provide repair services and technical support for FlexLogix controllers for an additional five years, if components remain available.

SoftLogix 5800
The SoftLogix5800 controller is a “soft controller” based on the Logix platform. The SoftLogix controller takes the control functions normally found in a dedicated programmable controller, encapsulates them in software, and runs them on a commercial operating system.
The multi-tasking operating system supports 32 configurable tasks that can be prioritized. One task can be continuous. The others can be periodic or event tasks. Each task can have as many as 100 programs, each with its own local data and logic, allowing virtual machines to operate independently within the same controller.

Micro1100 Controllers
With online editing and a built-in 10/100 Mbps EtherNet/IP port for peer-to-peer messaging the MicroLogix 1100 controller adds greater connectivity and application coverage to the MicroLogix family of Allen-Bradley controllers. There are 10 digital inputs, 6 digital outputs, and 2 analog inputs on every controller, with the ability to add digital, analog, RTD, and thermocouple modules to customize the controller for your application. On versions of the controller with DC inputs, there is a high-speed counter, and on the DC output version, two PTO/PWM (pulse train outputs and pulse width modulated) outputs, enabling the controller to support simple motion applications.
